In 2005 all I had was a dream and a promise from God. I give Him the highest praise, because without him, none of what you've seen on this site would be possible. Keep the faith and keep on writing. Write. When you're done, write some more!

Below is a list of resources I've found to be helpful in my journey to make my dreams a reality.

Networking

www.blackwriters.org This is where it all "jumped off" for me! They host a great conference every other year.

www.myspace.com (Excellent site for networking.) If you want to be taken seriously, you must have a web presence. MySpace is free and many authors live here.

www.authorsden.com Another great site for authors, not to mention FREE!

www.apooo.org (A Place Of Our Own) A great site to see who's who among authors, read reviews, and to see what's happening on the literary scene.

www.blogtalkradio.com/black-author-network  Airs MWF every week from 8 - 10 pm. Listen live, call in to share with authors, or chat in a chat room during hte show.

Printing

www.overnightprints.com Printers of quality business cards, postcards and promotional items.

www.vistaprint.com Vista Print offers tons of free items such as business cards, flyers, t-shirts, pens, and postcards. Just pay for shipping

www.printellectual.com Go here to get printers to bid on your print jobs. I found my printer using this site.

www.lulu.com Want to see what your book would look like before getting hundreds printed? Lulu is a great site for publishing your book and printing small quantities. I began my publishing journey with them before venturing out.
